Rather than concealing its internal mechanics beneath metal and solid surfaces, the RM 056-01 Sapphire transforms the entire watch into a transparent mechanical display. Sapphire crystal construction extends across the case body, exposing the chronograph movement from virtually every perspective and creating exceptional dimensional depth throughout the watch. The visual effect is highly architectural, with the bridges and mechanical components appearing suspended within a fully transparent structure.

Richard Mille engineered the RM 056-01 to combine sapphire manufacturing expertise with one of the brand’s highly technical chronograph calibres. Every movement component was carefully finished and skeletonized to enhance visibility through the clear sapphire surfaces. The complexity involved in machining and assembling the sapphire case places the RM 056-01 among the most technically demanding luxury sports watches ever produced.
